VimpelCom Launches Ogo Service
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. and MOSCOW, Feb. 7, 2007 – VimpelCom, the Russian mobile operator serving more than 47 Million subscribers, announced today its intentions to launch an Ogo offering aimed at the small to medium enterprise. The offering will bring mobile data services to a market segment that needs access to mobile data applications such as Push email, attachment support and ICQ support.

"We are continually looking for offerings that will fulfill the needs of the small to medium size businesses in Russia and are glad to have found IXI Mobile's Ogo suite of products and services," said Kent McNeley Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer of VimpelCom. "We believe there is an enormous opportunity for data services in this market segment, but it is key to have solutions that are cost effective for the small to medium business market."

"We are truly delighted to partner with VimpelCom to bring the Ogo solution to the SME audience," said Amit Haller, President and CEO of IXI Mobile. "This is an important milestone for us, as it represents a vast market that has gone completely underserved by all existing mobile data solutions. Millions of people are employed by small and medium businesses in Russia. Many of them need access to their mail, contacts, and calendar when they are away from their desk, but their company simply can't justify the total cost of ownership associated with current data products and services. Our vision is to minimize the cost of ownership without compromising the mobile data experience, and with that, bring it to the millions of people that were excluded from the mobile data revolution," continued Haller.

The VimpelCom offering will consist of a Push Email solution, ICQ Instant Messaging service and RSS support. The email platform will support attachments such as Word, Images, PDF documents, and Presentations.
